Pre-Construction Anti-Termite Treatment
Pre- Construction Termite Treatment involves termites with an anti-termite chemical at the foundation level of the building to stop or restrict entry of damage-causing termites into the building

Process of Treatment

As per Indian Standard 6313 pre-construction termite treatment is done in 4 stages
Stage 1
Treatment of Backfill in Immediate Contact with Foundation.
Stage 2
Treatment of the Top Surface of Plinth Filling
Stage 3
Treatment along the external Perimeter of the Building.
Stage 4
Treatment along drainage pipe and conduit

Benefits
Pre-construction termite treatment offers several benefits, providing proactive measures to prevent termite infestations before a building is constructed. Some of the key advantages include:
1. Early Prevention: Applying termite control measures before construction creates a barrier against termites from the outset. This proactive approach helps prevent termite infestations before they have a chance to establish themselves in the building.
2. Long-term Protection: Pre-construction treatments, such as soil treatment with termiticides, create a lasting protective zone that can deter termites for an extended period. This long-term protection can reduce the risk of future termite damage.
3. Cost Savings: Investing in pre-construction termite treatment can potentially save significant costs in the long run. Preventing termite infestations early on minimizes the need for expensive repairs and ongoing pest control treatments that might be required if a significant infestation occurs.
4. Preservation of Building Integrity: Termites can cause structural damage to buildings, affecting their integrity over time. Pre-construction treatment safeguards the structural integrity of the building by preventing termite-induced damage.
5. Reduced Chemical Exposure: Implementing termite control measures during the construction phase allows for the targeted application of termiticides, reducing the need for extensive chemical treatments later. This can result in reduced chemical exposure for occupants.
6. Peace of Mind: Knowing that the building has been treated for termites before construction provides peace of mind to property owners and occupants, ensuring a lower likelihood of termite-related problems in the future.
7. Compliance with Building Regulations: In regions where pre-construction termite treatments are mandatory or recommended by building codes or regulations, adhering to these measures ensures compliance with local construction standards.
Overall, pre-construction termite treatment offers a proactive and cost-effective approach to protect buildings from termite infestations, providing long-term benefits in terms of structural integrity, cost savings, and peace of mind for property owners and occupants.
